Simple text field content is not shown

Problem Description:

You have a text field in the report.  For some reason, the data is not showing.  You have double checked and confirmed that data was retrieved properly from the database.  You have also checked that the foreground and background colors are different and other possible causes such as size of the field and so forth.  What else could be wrong?

Solution:

There could be many reasons.   If still come up empty, check the font specified for the text field.  For example, Gotham Bold.  This font usually does not exist in a default system.  Change it to something like Arial and see if the data shows up.  If indeed that is the problem, you can either supply the font or change to a different font that exists in your environment.
