Question:
I would like to deploy JasperReports Server 5.6.1 to JBoss 5.3.1.
Installation was performed but after this application was not started by application server.
Quoting the most important part of the stack trace below:
org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 276 in XML document from ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/applicationContext-virtual-data-source.xml] is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 276; columnNumber: 9; cvc-id.1: There is no ID/IDREF binding for IDREF 'engineService'.
Answer:
You got this error because the version 5.6.1 has not been certified and tested
with JBoss 5.3.1, moreover this version of JBoss has not been tested
with the software (the current version is 6.2.0).
The enhancement request has been created regarding this question.
With each version of the software is supplied Supported Platforms
document. Please check this document to find if third
party software/version that you would like to use with JasperReports Server/version
is compatible with the application or not.
