It should be noted that the new overlay feature introduced in JasperReports Server v5.1.0 installation as outlined in JasperReports Server Installation Guide CHAPTER 10 OVERLAY UPGRADE will not add any new sample reports into the upgraded repository depending on which version of the JasperReports Server product users are originally upgrading from.
- If upgrading from pre 4.7 releases, all sample reports under Interactive folder in default organization 1 will not be included.
- If upgrading from pre 5.0 releases, all sample reports under public folder will not be included.
If users need those reports, then an upgrade, instead of overlay, installation should be used. For upgrade instructions, please refer to relevant (version specific) chapter in JasperReports Server Installation Guide for details.
In addition, sample reports in JasperReports Server v5.1 are only certified with Postgres data source.
