  • How to make JasperReports Server 6.0.1 as the default Tomcat web application

    Tom C
    • Features: JasperReports Server Version: v6.0

Our user is having a problem setting up TIBCO JasperReports® Server v6.0.1 as the root application in Tomcat 7.0 following the method as described in the wiki article for JRS 5.0 deployment.

Our user has tried the following approach and reported it is working with JasperReports Server v6.0.1 deployment:

    1. Install JRS to the ROOT webapp directory:

      • Making sure the webapp directory is called ROOT (may need to delete existing default tomcat ROOT folder)

      • Making sure the webAppRootKey value in WEB-INF/web.xml is set to ROOT.root

      • Making sure existing traces of 'jasperserver-pro.root' have been changed to 'ROOT.root' in

        • WEB-INF/log4j.properties

        • WEB-INF/classes/log4j-overrides.properties.

    2. Start JasperReports Server v6.0.1 instance and navigate to the root folder (i.e. http://localhost:8080) and login.
