Use case:
Report is containing blank data for UTF-8 characters when it's downloaded to PDF format.
The Malaysian characters were shown as blank.
Resolution:
You may select font "DejaVu Sans" for the texfield from the studio and then publish again to jasperserver.
This should show the expected font into pdf.
"DejaVu Sans" is a logical font which covers most of the locale.
