Exception Oracle ORA-01882: timezone region not found ORA-02063: preceding line from DB Link

Problem:

While running a report which is connected to remote Data Base via Data Base Link getiing [Oracle]ORA-01882: timezone region not found ORA-02063: preceding line from DB Link.

Cause:

The cause of this problem is related to impossibility to pull date data to timestamp field through Data Base Link. If to run a SQL Query of report on remote Data Base, user will face the same issue. If to run SQL Query on Data Base Host it works and shows data.

Resolution:

Use date type instead of Timestamp on fields in report, which will generate correct SQL Query for Data Base.
