Problem Statement:
What is the meaning of the following metrics present in the audit table -
Query Execution time.
Report rendering time.
Report Execution Time.
Total Report Execution Time.
Resolution:
Query Execution Time: The time spent executing the SQL query in the database. It is the time that starts from the execution of the query until the last data has arrived in the result set.
Report Rendering Time: The time spent rendering the report after receiving the query results (dataset).
Report Execution Time: The total time spent running the report. Typically this is a little more than the sum of the query execution and report rendering times, due to overhead. Such as loading repository resources (report unit, data source, etc) and obtaining a database connection from the data source.
Total Report Execution Time: The total time for loading the report is nothing but report execution time which consists of query execution time along with the report rendering time as well as the overhead. It measures the time until the report is fully opened in the application UI.
