Print and print preview buttons are required from Jasperserver itself instead of exporting to a format then printing

Dev team is there an update to this ticket? The lack of the feature is an issue to my clients!!
I agree, this feature will be very handy!
I agree as well. This would be handy. A lot of clients have enquired about this.
Hi,
Where exactly should this print/preview button appear and which document format should it actually print. I mean, if not printing the HTML, the PDF, the DOCX, then what format to print?
If we are talking about native printing done from Java, then how would you specify a printer from the client browser that would eventually be used by the Java server to print?
So what exactly we want to print here and how?
Thanks,
Teodor
The request is for JasperReports Server. They want a "Print" button on a report view page. This can be done easily but I think these guys are forgetting that report can only be printed to a printer available to JasperReports Server (i.e. on server network) while most end users want to print to a printer available to their pc (i.e. on client side).
This actually isn't a JasperReports issue but a professional service issue.
Hi
I dont think so that its a services issue.
we simply need that once the user click on report, it will be in pdf format and then from the same interface it should be print user local printer.
