Most server installs are automated, especially when you have to scale out (which calls for unattended installs to several machines). With the linux installer of JasperReports Server, there is manual intervention required (accepting license agreement, selecting whether to install sample reports, etc.). It would be nice to specify all of the parameters upfront.

have you considered war-bin installer for fully automated installations?
Not sure what that is. Are there any guides that can help me understand how to do such an installation?
