[#3416] - single select query not refreshing

I have a "Single select query" parameter that does not take any values by default - the select requires other parameters to be set first. After setting the underlying parameters, the Single select query dropdown control (with the default message "Select one..."), (1) does not refresh and (2) causes all other controls to not refresh.

this functionality works as expected in 5.2.0; this is strictly a 5.5.0 issue.
