I am trying to enable end user Change Password functionality in Jasper Server Community Edition 4.7. My installation was successful. When I tried to enable change password functionality by following instructions from the Installation Guide.:
1) Stopped Tomcat
2) Edited …\\WEB-INF\\jasperserver-servlet.xml (controls the Login page) file to set allowUserPasswordChange="true"
3) Restarted Tomcat
After this modification the Login Page shows Change Password link, but the password change function does not work. When I click the Password Change link, two new fields appear for New Password and New Password Confirmation. If I fill in all the four fields - user Id, password, new password, and new password confirmation - and then press Login, user is logged in but the new password does not take effect.
I have tried installation from binary .run file as well as WAR file on Red Hat Linux as well as Windows 7. The same problem exists in both places.
I am using defualt authentication which encrypts the passwords.
Thanks for help.
