[#1409] - Input Controls Date/Time on server submits a string, shouldn't it be a Timestamp or Calendar?

I find it odd or wrong that the JasperServer InputControl with a DataType of Date/Time submits a String to the corresponding parameter in the report. When using Date, I can define the parameter as a Date (not String).

I noted 2.0.1 as the Reported in Release. Actually it is in 2.1.0 (not available in the pick list).
