Dear reader,
To reproduce this bug:
1)Take a normal textfield on a report.
2)With rightmouse button choose "properties" and then tab "hyperlink"
3)Choose for hyperlinktype "reference" something else than "none", for example "hyperlink"
4)Some tabs appear: Choose the tab "Tooltip"
5)Fill in some text, for example "This is an example tooltip"
6)Run the report with output in Jasperviewer
In jasperviewer you can see the tooltip appear when moving the mouse over the report field with the tooltip.
7) Now run the report with output in PDF.
Move the mouse over the report fiels with the tooltip.
Bug: Although pdf support tooltips the tooltip is not there any more!
Furher I see another small bug: It's possible to edit the text in the listbox "Hyperlink type".
Best regards,
Jan

IReport version used 3.7.3
Adobe Reader 9.0
Same problem here. For complex financial reports, an end user asked me to get some hover texts over the headings, to allow easier understanding while online reading of these financial reports.
Perhaps somethings such as listed on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2431346/tool-tip-for-text-in-ireport
?
