Summary:
cannot recover clob
when you do a select on a database that has a "clob" column, ireports, ora-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected - got CLOB
whilst i do not expect ireports to handle clobs, it would be nice to returnsometihg back as a place holder for designing reports then on implementation of the datasource i can code round it.
not having a place holder means that jsperreports will not call "getfield" in the datasource, and so the problem cannot be worked round
