Please create a *.DMG (Disk Image) package for distribution on the Mac, preferably in Universal Binary format. This is relatively straightforward, although it requires access to a Mac.
If possible, this should put configuration files in $HOME/Application Support/iReport, rather than $HOME/.ireport
