Summary:
Versioning of reports
Back again,
Since i've got a chaotic team leader, i would be pleased if there was a way to version the created report and manage the versions in a way.
Also, Guillio when you apply some versioning features, it's very much possible to go commerical. (I want to help if I can, but i have to move to my new home first)

the simplest way to do it, is integrating CVS support as a plugin in iReport.
Should be already exist some lgpl CVS java libs.

Well I like the idea too but unfortunately I don't have time at the moment, because of some reconstruction work at "home sweet home" that is killing my sparetime every day. :-(
Perhaps we could edit some FAQ's that could be useful to new users that are asking everytime the same questions (like how to start new page and so on...)

C-Box,
Isn't it an idea to help mr. Guillio and setup a addition website (eg. www.ireport.net or something) and publish walktroughs and plugins and other usefull information. I like this idea but i don't think I can do it on my own. Let's hear your thoughts....

Why don't you write your own "Versioning Plugin"... I also wrote a plugin to get/save whole set's of reports directly from/to our database into/from iReport and it works great. So I could imagine a versioning plugin where everytime a new version is created you call a method from your plugin to check this version into a ZIP-File or database or whatever with current design, jasperVersion, date, time, user and so on....
just my two cent
