Summary:
Integrate Expressionbuilder at Textfield Expression
Hi !
It would be nice for report designer to use expressiona build not only at print when expression field, but also at Textfield Expression field.
Also there the build schod be nice to use in dialog "add variable" - variable expression or initial value Expression.
Another Point is to give the operators for drag an drop, at Expressionbuild for adding, or comparing, greater, lower. But this might be not easy. Maybe with a ne Condition window with drop downbox.

Whilst the TextEditor is useful for entering snippets into the variable expression box, it would be better if it aided the user when trying to build mathematical expressions. For example, if I had a java.lang.Double field and wanted to add
a java.lang.Integer field's value to it, it would be helpful if there was something that dropped inot the expression box the correct casts and/or methods used.
Thanks

You can open the expression dialog using the right click mouse button -> popup menu -> Use texteditor. This option is available for each expression area.
