There is now Google Maps available in iReport. I would like some extra features:
- Use of PNG (is now jpeg with a lot of compression artifacts)
- Option for map/satellite/hybrid
- Point on the map (input coordinates)
Possibility to create polygon overlay in Google Maps.
Kml file as input for creating polygon overlay.

Would definitely help me with a project currently executing. Plotting geographical positions makes the reports on real estate a lot more interesting.
I modified the map component in order to allow:
- adding markers to it (customizable color, customizable label, lat/lang tooltip, event listener)
- customize map type: ROADMAP, SATELLITE, HYBRID, TERRAIN
I am uploading a patch. Maybe it helps.
PS: using jasperreports vs 4.5.1
The report size is 2100px * 2100px with a google map of same size.
When we export report as pdf/Word/ any format.The total area of the report is not exporting only 1350 width of the report(Map) is exporting and remaining is left empty.
Any Work arounds to export the complete map to pdf with original map size(2100px).
The same is happening in Jasperserver 5.2 and 5.5 also.
I'm using the iReport 5.5 pro, but I can't find how put a KML Layer on a map object on report. It's possible to do that, how can I do? Have some documentation about the map component to read about?

iReport support is going to end next week and development has already stopped. If you need extra features, should create a new ticket with Jaspersoft Studio.
