[#5583] - iReport 4.5.0 stucks in Ubuntu 11.10

I'm Using Ubuntu 11.10, iReport works fine till version 4.1.3 but when i downloaded 4.5.0 and started it is not working properly..

iReport 4.5.0 stucks(hangs) when i tried to open some file or perform other operation, some times it's hangs sudden on start (no window appear)....

Also check out iReport with Ubuntu's other version(11.04) as my colleague having Ubuntu 11.04, and he does not found zoom in and zoom out option in designer...

Please check out the same..

Hope this can be useful to development team...

I too am running into this issue. Steps to recreate

Environment:
Ubuntu 11.10, 64 bit. Running JDK 1.7u2

1. Start iReport 4.5
2. Open any report. iReport will freeze (no CPU usage) for about 1 minute.
3. iReport operates normally. Opening any other report is normal and performance is fine.

It seems that the issue appears in win7 32 bit too. I've installed the 4.5 version yesterday and didn't notice this behaviour. However, this morning, I've clicked on File/New and IReport started to do something and it took like a minute to load the templates on screen. Only after that I've chosen "Blank A4" and clicked "Open this Template". After naming a new report, clicked "next" and "finish", it also took like 30 seconds to open the report. The issue does not reapear if I create another new report without restarting IReport, however it does reapear after restarting IReport.

Possible solution:
This might sound strange. After installing 4.5.1 the issue is still there. After uninstalling the versions 4.5.0 and 4.1.3 the issue still remains, however after manualy deleting complete directories of the 4.5.0 and 4.1.3 from the "Program Files", I no longer have the performace issue. (I don't even want to know what the cause is)
