I would like to see if iReport would consider using a different framework. NetBeans runs very slowly on machines running McAfee antivirus. Since the company uses McAfee and there is no chance of getting them to change this in the foreseeable future, I would wonder if a plugin for different framework were something that is being considered.

I would love to see iReport as a plugin for Eclipse. My development machine has 3 GB of RAM. Eclipse, iReport and Jetty eat over 1 GB each, so if I debug my application in Eclipse and run iReport at the same time, the machine quickly starts swapping to death.
Integrating iReport with Eclipse would reduce the memory footprint significantly for Eclipse users.
