On a Mac OS X 10.6 when trying to make a Database JDBC Conneciton to a MySQL server running on a linux server, I continually get a "SQL problems: Communications link failure". On a Windows PC I can make a connection using the exact same information.
I've tried this from both the stand alone iReport 3.7.1 app and from the NetBeans 6.8 running the iReport 3.7.1 plugin.
On the Mac using Parallels with Windows 7 installed I can connect running the windows version of iReport 3.7.1
