I used to be able to use report wizard to create reports. Now not only I cannot create the report from 3.7.1. I tried all versions of iReport (3.1.0., 3.5.1, ...etc). All of them display "Unable to create report" error and cannot create any report.

I just uninstalled 3.7.1. Old versions of iReport can work now.

I uninstall 3.7.1 but keep the configuration.
Download iReport-3.7.1.zip, unzipe the files and replace the files under C:\Program Files\JasperSoft\iReport-3.7.1\.
Now everything works fine.

ok as for the problem with creating new document, it's actually a permission issue with windows xp sp3. somehow i don't have permission right to the default home path @ c:\documents and settings\_user_\

changing to a different path solved the problem
