This is a major incompatability around the integration of the UUID part of the upgraded feature set.
Problem is that this means that you cannot use new client for the old reports which is really quite concerning.
Is there an expected fix in the next release to make the reporting framework work for back level reports or are we basically always going to have to use iReport 4.5 to edit 4.5 reports.
Problem is this means that actually we may have to go through and rewrite every report ever written in the system, even a migration tool for the existing reports to bring them in line with the new framework would be useful.
At the moment its almost impossible to upgrade an existing instance of Jasper Server due to this issue and the others I have logged which makes 4.7 an upgrade to avoid at the moment.

Hi, if you use iReport 4.7 for editing reports 4.5, the XML source changes, using new properties, labels, etc, then you should use the new libraries jasper 4.7 on app where you run reports!
jasperserver 4.5 = reports Ireport 4.5
jasperserver 4.7 = reports Ireport 4.7 , perhaps Ireport 4.5
