In the new version 1.3.2 of iReport, the selection of elements (text fields, lines, subreports, etc) when designing is PAINFULLY slow.
In the last version (1.3.1) the time between clicking on an element and it becoming selected was basically instantaneous. There was almost no perception between the click and element being selected.
In 1.3.2, this has increased to roughly a 1 second delay and I thought that it might be just the complexity of the report that I was working on. However, I tried creating a new report and added two textfields and just switching back and forth between those fields was exactly the same (1 second delay).
I'm not running on that slow of a machine, and the fact that the previous version is so much faster is very strange. Could you look into this? Otherwise I'm going to be stuck just using the 1.3.1 version indefinitely.
