Any PDF417 barcode I create using iReport (I've tried iReport 1.2.7 and 1.3.1) are unable to be scanned by my barcode scanner (Symbol LS 4007i).
After I encountered problems, I then create a simple template with very simply PDF417 barcodes on the page and yet those still weren't able to be ready by my scanner.
The barcodes are able to be rendered and printed but just not readable by the scanner. I generated the template output in PDF and printed it to my laser printer.
I was worried that my scanner was defective so found other PDF417 barcodes that I was able to scan correctly. Also was able to generate a PDF417 barcode from this website (http://www.idautomation.com/java/pdf417servlet.html) and it was able to be scanned by my scanner.

We are having this very exact issue on a system that is about to go to production environment, and we've just detected the problem. Has it's been solved? Is it just a problem regarding barcode.jar, or does it arises from jasperreports?
