2004-09-02 03:40

Iam using static text field to print a title called "List of employees who resigned between given dates" in ireports 0.3.0

How shud I access the given dates dynamically.

i.e my heading shud be like this

"List of Employees who resigned between date1 and date2" where date1 and date2 are accepted dynamically.

Pass the from and to dates in as parameters. Of course, you won't be able to use them in static text, you'll have to define a textField.

...

so Gregory mean you should use a Textfield with following expression within:

"List of Employees who resigned between " +$P{date1parameter} + " and " + $P{date2parameter}

where $P{date1parameter} and $P{date2parameter} are two parameter that you pass in a parametermap from typ HashMap (or any other Map) into the report when you call the fill-method.

Converting date parameters format

2004-09-04 06:20

Thank U for the immediate response for the question how to access the parameters dynamically. It worked fine.

but I have one more functionality to be introduced.

how to convert the given date into a particular format

for eg: date1parameter and date2parameter are given in mm/dd/yyyy form

they r to be converted to dd-mon-yyyy format

Hi again,

try to use the searchfunction of the forum... it's not so bad like it looks...

So I search the forum for "dateformat" and I found that thread...
