Can't use SQL with dot in the column name...

2004-08-31 14:06

I have an SQL uses several column names as table.column due to some ambiguous column names between the two joined tables. If I do this, JasperReports returns the following:

private JRFillField field_inv4.asm_act_plan_composite.comp_plan_id = null;

...

net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Errors were encountered when compiling report expressions class file:

See error messages above.

...

Because the field has a '.' in it (actually there are two dots), when the Java class is compiled, the compiler blows up. Any thoughts on how to get around this?

Thanks
