Releasing memory

2004-07-23 03:55

I've generated report to JRViewer as below code. However, when the window is closed, the memory taken up when the report is generated is not released. This makes my application memory footprint to grow as more reports are generated.

Is there a way to release this un-used memory?

THanks.

JasperReport template = JasperManager.loadReport(new FileInputStream(sourcefile));

JasperPrint report = JasperManager.fillReport(template, paramMap, conn);

JRViewer jrv = new JRViewer(report);

JFrame viewer = new JFrame();

viewer.getContentPane().add(jrv);

viewer.show();
