hello together

i've got the following problem:

its a report, with 2 columns. but there are some exceptions, namely sometimes there must be a detail-object, which has to go over 2 columns:

 

|entrie1|entrie2

|entrie3|entrie4

| entrie 5

|entrie6|entrie7

|entrie8|entrie9

 

i'll catch it with a printwhen expression, so if $F{whatever} = isFullLine print the entrie 5, if its a normal entrie print it like entrie1

 

my thought was it, to set the reports setColumnCount(int i) to 1, when report 5 comes, BUT as far as i know, i cannot change this value in runtime. so what would you do? please help me

 

i need something similar to colspan in html ;-)
