Parameter as a value of an attribute

2004-05-04 05:08

Hey,

I'm trying make some parts of the report parameterized, mainly fore and background colors of some report elements. I've got this:

<parameter name="pHeaderBGColor"

class="java.lang.String">

</parameter>

<parameter name="pHeaderFGColor"

class="java.lang.String">

</parameter>

...

<textField>

<reportElement mode="Opaque" x="2" y="2"

width="470" height="16"

forecolor="#ff3333" backcolor="#000000"/>

<textElement/>

<textFieldExpression class="java.lang.String">

<![CDATA["Something"]]>

</textFieldExpression>

</textField>

If I try to use those parameters as a value of fore- and background colors, I get this error message:

ERROR Digester - Parse Fatal Error at line 34 column 80: Open quote is expected for attribute "forecolor"

Is there a way to do this and if so, how?

Thanks,

Janne

You may not be able to do this through XML. You may have to do it programmatically, via the API.
