Report returns "No Data" when a parameter (For prompt) is passed into the report

Has anyone experienced this situation where a report returns "No Data" when a parameter is passed into it? However, when the report is removed, the report returns data ( too much data)

 

In my case, I have a parameter to prompt for a sample id, then return the defined fields for that sample id.

Hi, 

Please can you check the parameter value your passing is appropriate value. You can try executing the report query with the hardcoded value to the paramterId and try to get the results.
