New to jasper. I need to compile with an earlier version of jasper reports (6.6.0). I have downloaded it and set it in the compatibility section  under Compiler Settings. For the source.jrxml version there isn't a 6.6.0, so I have tried the 6.5.1 and 6.10 version for that.

The error that I am getting is "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not inittialize class net.sf.jasperreports.engine.DefaultJasperReportsContext"

I have seen post about people being able to compile with earlier versions what is this error trying to tell me?

Hi Aaron.shore, Could you please share the jrxml file. I will try to compile the jrxml and will try to identify the issue.

Is this issue happening for only a specific report?

Also, If you try to create a new report in your studio, does it work as expected or are you getting the same "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not inittialize class net.sf.jasperreports.engine.DefaultJasperReportsContext" error for the new report as well?
