Create Datasource from API

Hi Guys,

I have searched through many forums, but I have not found any instructions that work, nor any help:

Is it possible to create a datasource that queries an API in JasperSoft Studio and Server?

I have a curl that I send against the API, there I see all the fields of a ticket.

If I now create a datasource JSON and test the connection everything works. But as soon as I put the fields in the report, I get NULL as value. I have added the HTTP Header Authorization to the datasource, it works fine.

The main datasource looks like this:

 

Does anyone have a clue or a post on how to properly query against an API?

I am also learning to create reports using WebAPI, and the first thing I was wondering is the following.

* If I click on the 'Data Preview' tab > 'Refresh Preview Data' button, does the data show up?

If the data could not be previewed, I thought there was something wrong with the data adapter settings.
If the data could be previewed, I thought it was due to some field setting.
