Report Grouping

Hello,

I have a report that pulls multiple lines into a Detail Band.  I would like to consolidate these lines into groups based by product and product description, with total Qty.  Right now there is a line for each product so the report is many many pages.

Current Example:

Product 1234           Product 1234 Desc             Product 1234 Qty 2

Product 1234           Product 1234 Desc             Product 1234 Qty  2

Product 0987           Product 0987 Desc             Product  0987 Qty  3

Product 0987           Product 0987 Desc             Product  0987 Qty  2

 

Desired Result:

Product 1234           Product 1234 Desc             Product 1234 Qty:    4

Product 0987           Product 0987 Desc             Product  0987 Qty:   5

The query is more complex than that, it pulls many tables and is grouped by the select fields, but I can add the SUM a a field.  I was wondering if there is a setting on the report to accomplish this.  It pulls 100s of lines and it can be consolidated bye each product with total quantity.  Any other suggestions and thank you for your reply!!

I created a sub report to achieve the desired data format.  Used the SUM/Group By query mentioned in this thread.  Thank you!
