Draw a horizontal line across the page

JasperSoft 6.4.0.  I am pretty new to jaspersoft.  I am designing a Bill of Lading form.  I have several fields defined and simply want to draw a straight horizontal line across the form.  So in palette/line, I click on the left side of the form  and drag to the right side.  I doesnt matter where I drop, but the line is always diagonal.  I could understand if I wasnt in the same spot on the right side, but I have messed with this for hours and cant get it straight.  Is there a setting I am missing?

if you set the line-size to the height of 1 px, you will get a horizontal line

but for my taste this line is too thick (doesn't look really good), so instead of the line i use the StaticText, set it's size to a height of 1 px and then add a border (top or bottom) with PenWidth=0.5  (see ScreenShot)

i haven't found a better solution yet and hope this helps you for the time
