Unable to create the binary file, check the compilation errors

Hi,

I'm using JasperStudio 6.5.1 on a Mac (Sierra) and am running into a very strange issue off late.

Whenever I try to compile my jrxml, I get the error:

Unable to create the binary file, check the compilation errors

I have no idea what's going on...there is nothing reported in the Problems View or the Error Log View. I've even tried to create a new project, add a blank jrxml with just a text box in it...Preview works perfectly but when I try to compile to .jasper, I get the above message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regds,

Gaurav

I had the same problem when copying a preconfiguered workspace in spite of all file-access / admin rights.

The workaround was to just configure anyting like logging (Window->Preferences...). Even when taking the chang back

the compiling still works.
