access user attributes from report

I need to access defined attributes for a user from a report if someone has an idea how to do it will greatly appreciate it

User attributes are functionalities of JasperReports Server and not of JasperReports library. As such there isn't any standard feature in JasperReports library to access user attributes. However, JasperReports library supports Scriplets, that allows developers to use Java methods. I haven't tried this but it may be possible to call functions to get user attribute.

Anyways, why are you trying to do this? Why don't you just pass user attribute as a parameter to a report.
