How to wrap a long data in a column of a report and also ensure that the entire record alignment (for the next row), is maintained?

Hi,

I have a scenario wherein some columns will have long text (say 100 chars) but the display width on the report is set to 50 chars. When the text length exceeds 50 chars, I want the report to be able to:

1) Display all the text by wrapping the text into 2 rows for that column and

2) While wrapping, ensure that the entire record/ row width/ height is consistent and the next record/row alignment is not affected.

Currently, when I wrap the column contents, the alignment of the next row/ record is affected and the report layout is distorted

Thanks in advance

Sanjiv

For all the fields in that row (particularly for the field that might go over its width) is Properties / Text Field / Stretch With Overflow: checked.
Then for all the fields in that row Properties / Appearance / Size / Stretch Type: Relative to Tallest Object.
Then to vertically line up the values in that row, you might want to set all the fields to Properties / Text Field / Text Alignment: Top.
