Error While Publishing Report to Jasper Server

When I try to Publish the Report to the server It is showing
"The Server has returned an error with code 1 and with the message Access is denied"
what could be the reasons for this?

It can be that your user does not have privilege to write to the folder in the repository. If you're using the admin account, make sure your Jaspersoft Studio version is the same as the JasperReports Server version.
