Read .txt file as datasource

Hi everyone,

i have a question for you: Is it possible to read a .txt file as datasource in Jasper Report?

What should i do? Is there a precise procedure that i can follow?

Rename your my.txt to my.csv and insert content like:

<columnName0>, <columnName1>
<value01>, <value11>
<value02>, <value12>
<value03>, <value13>
 

And use "CSV File" as data adapter.

I'm using Jaspersoft Studio and i just solved with  csv file connection. 

In the csv file connection menu when you select the file in explorer menù, you should choose to see all file.

Once choosen txt file you have to select the space as file separetor  (or tab, it depends on what kind of file you'd like to use)
