Jasperserver install error

Install jasperserver 6.1 ( 6.0.1 same error)  custom install without sample data 

error running /home/jasperinstalldirectory/postgresql/bin/psql-c " ALTER USER postgres PASSWORD '****'"; psql.bin:  FATAL  the database system in starting up.

 

install jasperserver 6.1 or 6.0.1  default installation  (with samples data)  no error .

 

The server is ubuntu 14.04 lts, i in proxmox virtual machine

Postgresql installer sometimes doesn't work correctly. That's why I recommend to install Postgresql separately from JasperReports Server and just select to use existing database.
