Create a text link to a report in dashboard?

Hello! I'm very new to JasperServer so please bear with me.

I'm experimenting with the dashboards feature and wondering if it is possible to create a link of some sort to a report that opens in a new window or tab?

I've had a look at the webpage content in the dashboard creator, but this just opens up the whole report inside the box as if another webpage. Is there a way to just show some text that when clicked on shows/opens up the report?

What I'm after is something similar to the homepage, where there is a drop down menu full of links, its called 'Recently Viewed Items'
