Main Group Footer Containing Sub Group Totals

I was wondering if the following was possible in JasperSoft Studio and if so, how would it be done...

• Main Group Header
  • Group 1
    • Sub Group 1
    • Sub Group 2
    • Sub Group 3
  • Group 2
    • Sub Group 1
    • Sub Group 2
    • Sub Group 3
• Main Group Footer
  • Sub Group 1 Total
  • Sub Group 2 Total
  • Sub Group 3 Total

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

You can use individual variables to keep track and sum up each sub group amount and display them in report main group footer.

That works ok for the totals... if I wanted to have the Sub Total name appear next to the actual calculated total, how would I get that text to appear in the footer since there's more than one detail entry.

It seems your sub group names cannot be pre-determined thus you need to track those names individually when report records are fetched, correct? Can you provide sample data to help demo your use case?
