I was wondering if the following was possible in JasperSoft Studio and if so, how would it be done...

  • Main Group Header
    • Group 1
      • Sub Group 1
      • Sub Group 2
      • Sub Group 3
    • Group 2
      • Sub Group 1
      • Sub Group 2
      • Sub Group 3
  • Main Group Footer
    • Sub Group 1 Total
    • Sub Group 2 Total
    • Sub Group 3 Total

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

That works ok for the totals... if I wanted to have the Sub Total name appear next to the actual calculated total, how would I get that text to appear in the footer since there's more than one detail entry.

It seems your sub group names cannot be pre-determined thus you need to track those names individually when report records are fetched, correct? Can you provide sample data to help demo your use case?
