JasperServer-Pro Reports

I am using JasperServer-pro 5.6 and I am trying to create a report. I should say, I need to create a report with a specific look.

Can JasperServer-pro create a user-customized report? Or am I limited to the default look and feel?

Or, do I need to add another Jasper product to achieve this? With JasperServer-pro, which other package complements it best?

From what you've said, you're probably using Adhoc reports to create your report.

JasperReports Server also allows users to create pixel perfect custom reports using Jaspersoft Studio. This is a client software to create report layouts. Once the layouts are created, you'll be able to upload them to JasperReports Server.

The other option is to first create reports using Adhoc View and save them as Adhoc Reports. Adhoc Reports can be edited using Jaspersoft Studio so you'll be able to customize the layout.

So, either way, I need JasperSoft Studio. Is Studio a PC user based program, or is it network/enterprise level software?

Jaspersoft Studio is a pc based program. It runs on linux and MS Windows but I recommend using MS Windows 64 bit. It's based on Eclipse.
