Jaspersoft BI Community product server 6.1 installation issue

Hi, I have tried installing jasper server cp 6.1 . The popup installation wizard goes very small and unable to find the finish of installation. 

Also, the size of downloaded .exe file is about 420 MB which is less compared to previous versions ?

Any body tried ?

Could you tell us the platform you are on - Windows, Mac, Unix?

Hello sadakar,

It is possible to run the installer without the installation wizard. If you are accepting the defaults you can run the installer through the command line and provide the following two required parameters:

--mode unattended --postgres_password postgres

 

for Windows it would be:

jasperreports-server-6.1.0-cp-windowx-x64-installer.exe --mode unattended --postgres_password postgres

 

Other optional parameters would are:

prefix - installation directory

postgres_installation_type - Can be bundled or existing

The EXE is smaller, but not that much smaller.  The SourceForge copy matches the Release Area copy - 445 mb.

Fm the NFS filesystem:

And from SourceForge:

If your copy is 420 mb ...  was it your copy?  Did/Would you try to download it again?

I don't think its an isolated copy problem.

I'm downloading it to a win8 machine and it shows 445mb for the sourceforge file, but the download states 370 of 424mb:

Thank you very much for the tips and procedure. I have got a copy of 424 MB and successfully installed in Windows 8 as you did. 

There are only 3 example reports available in the server.(Not a problem).

I was able to download Jaspersoft BI software   from link http://www.jaspersoft.com/download-jaspersoft-bi-software

and following jasperreports-server-6.1.0-windows-x64-installer.exe  successfully on Windows
