problem with the multiplication of variables that return variables of a subreport to a main report

Hello everyone, I am doing a multiplication of two variables

 

variable1 "type java.math.BigDecimal"

 

variable2 "type java.math.BigDecimal"

 

variable3 "type java.math.BigDecimal"

 

variable3=variable1*variable2

 

variable1 results 2 and the variable2 results 3 and are returned to underreporting and variable3 is created in the main report all three have the same type of variable, when will show the variable3 a Text Field gives me as null result , I do please help
