Newbie - FireBird - Unsupported Major.Minor Version 52.0

Hi all

I have just downloaded and started JasperSoft Studio.  I have tried to create a test adapter for firebird.  I tried to create a new A4 report.  I provided the required SELECT statement (though the message that it is retriving metadata never goes away).  After providing a simple SELECT statemennt I click next and I get an error (screen shot pasted).

Please advise

Hi,
I think you are using the Firebird JDBC Driver for Java 1.8. 
Since Jaspersoft Studio is using a prepackaged JDK 1.7, you should try with the correct 1.7 version or even 1.6.
