santharn
I have a requirement to show network topology map data in Jasper which can be zoomed in or out. The topology map is like a google map/MX graph with many devices connected and links between these devices. The user can zoom in to see the link level or device level details and zoom out to see a complete network topology. Based on the current selection, the svg has to be generated and generated as a report. Is this possible generate a svg from the data and generate a report with Jasper? darth_fader
Yes, it's possible, you can simply reference the svg in jrxml as is done in the following:https://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/how-add-svg-image-your-report-jrxmlIf it's a dynamically named image that you can't reference statically, pass the file name in as a parameter to jasper. santharn
Hi, Thanks for your reply. I am able to insert a static SVG file into jasper using above method but I am more interested on how we can generate a dynamic data driven svg file that can be used in Jasper. Does jasper provide any means to generate a dynamic data driven svg file instead of using an existing svg file?
james.perry
Take a look at the getInstance method. Looks like there are several ways to provide data.
