Dynamic dates in email notification

I've searched and searched and haven't any luck so maybe someone can help me out.

What I am trying to do is have a dynamic date elements that I can put into the email subject.

subject examples:

• Report fubar for (TODAY)
• Report fubar for (MONTH)
• Report fubar for (YEAR)
• Report fubar for (DATEWHATEVER)

I'm figuring that I am going to have to make some custom code since I haven't seen anything in any of the docs or fourm.

Any help or pointing me the right direction is appreciated.
