I have never tried to convert PDF file to xml File in JAVA. I have ever tried to convert pdf to image files witrh the help of some 3rd party pdf converting toolkits. Namely, converting pdf to png, converting pdf to bmp, converting pdf to tiff, converting pdf to multi-tiff, etc. will be much more convenient.
